From the Golf Shop…

We are open, well stocked and have something for everyone. The golf shop looks great and will be open every day
from now until November 15th.  The merchandise is nicely displayed and offered for sale at attractive prices. Please
stop in and visit. Don First  and Ryan Jones will be our Assistant Golf Professionals this year.  Don is returning for
his 2nd season and this will be Ryan's first season working with us.

The buzz continues to circulate about all the great new drivers and hybrid clubs. Everyone should consider trying one
of these new products. It seems the Callaway Fti (square head), the Ping Rapture, the Taylor Made R7’s and the 907
D2 Titleist drivers are the most mentioned in the shop so far. We have many demos, stop in and try them. Which
driver is the best for you? Is it the Callaway, Cleveland, Cobra, Ping, Taylor Made, Titleist or something different? It
seems all the new bigheaded drivers are very good. Everyone should be playing with at least one hybrid as they are
much easier to hit than long or mid irons.

We are accepting motorized pull carts into club storage. The cost is $110 per cart or $200 for both club storage and
pull cart  storage.

Check the various bulletin boards for tournament information and general information. Should you be planning to
play in Club, National, State or
Buffalo District events check for information now.

We begin posting scores in the computer beginning April 21st and ending on October 21st   Our golf shop staff is
trained on the computer and will be happy to help you enter your scores. All players need to be aware of Equitable
Stroke Control used when posting scores. Golfers with a nine or less handicap can post a maximum of a double
bogey on any hole. Golfers with handicaps from ten to nineteen can post a maximum of a 7 on any hole. Twenty to
twenty-nine handicaps can post no higher than an 8. Thirty to thirty-nine handicaps can post no higher than a 9. Forty
handicaps and above can post no higher than a ten on any hole.

We have all pricing and general information about lessons, merchandise, corporate logo merchandise and club
repair available. We are taking appointments for individual lessons, group lessons and club fitting.

“Tip of the Month”

Stretching tip is repeated at the beginning of each season, as it is very important physically.
Paraphrased from “30 Exercises for Better Golf”

by Frank W. Jobe M.D.

People often ask, “Are golfers really athletes?”  “Yes,” I tell them. No question about it, for golf is a sport and to play it
better, one must improve their athletic ability: flexibility, strength, agility, coordination and endurance. The key word
here is improve. Should the golfer improve in any of these areas he or she is bound to enjoy golf more. The
possibility of posting lower scores is only one benefit, the others are health conscious.

A great way to start the golf season is to try to get in better “golf condition.” All physical trainers will agree that
exercising is more beneficial and safer when stretching is done both before and after. You can choose the level of
commitment to exercise and stretching, and I will officially recommend you consult your doctor first, but STRETCH !  I
have put together a folder on recommended stretches for golf and I will be happy to give you a copy.
